Whitening Instructions
- We recommend applying a small dot of whitening gel to the facial surface of each “tooth” inside the tray (the “facial surface” is the side of the tray that will cover the front of your teeth). Use the image on the side as an example.
- Place the custom tray over your teeth and gently press into place. Pressing the tray too firmly or placing too much gel inside the tray will force gel out of the tray.
- Remove any excess whitening gel from your gums using a soft, clean toothbrush. If the excess gel is not removed, it will result in a minor chemical burn. This will go away, but it will cause your gums to be red and irritated for some time.
- Wear the custom trays for 30-60 minutes if you are using the 35% formula. This formula is designed to achieve initial whitening of the teeth, so we recommend using it for consecutive days until the desired level of whiteness is achieved. Please be advised that multiple consecutive sessions may result in tooth sensitivity. If that occurs, discontinue use until the sensitivity subsides, then resume.
- Wear the custom trays for 8-10 hours, or overnight, if you are using the 10% formula. This formula is specifically designed for ongoing maintenance, so we recommend one overnight session once per month to maintain results.
- Remove the custom trays. We strongly recommend avoiding any acidic or dark beverages, such as coffee, wine, or tea for at least two hours after use. We also recommend avoiding brushing with toothpaste for at least 2 hours after use. If you need to brush your teeth after whitening, use very gentle pressure and water ONLY to remove any excess gel.
- Clean the custom trays with a soft, clean toothbrush and warm water to remove any gel remaining inside the trays. Store them in the case we provided to you.
